Published 24/01/24This week, we have been conducting another pupil voice to contribute to our school improvement by involving our pupils at SJS in the self-evaluation, planning and decision-making processes. In PE, we aim to listen to our children’s views and take them into account when making decisions on our future offer. Children and young people can offer a powerful and unique perspective on what it is like to be a pupil in a PE lesson and by involving them in the decision-making process, they can make meaningful changes, as well as facilitating a sense of empowerment and inclusion.

Read More6 Weeks' Inclusive Cricket Initiative – A Real Success!
Published 11/12/23Over the last six weeks, we have been receiving additional PE provision delivered by Brady Sounders from Yorkshire cricket, which was additional to the children’s normal PE lessons. Each session allowed 30 selected pupils, including our Hub children to hone their cricket skills in an inclusive and supported session, that progressed over the six weeks. We were very grateful to have had this opportunity and thanks to Yorkshire cricket and sponsorship from the Lord's Taverners charity, these sessions were free for our children to enjoy.
