Lunchtime Football Club – A Real Success!

Year 6 Boys' Football Competition
Published 24/10/23Our Year 6 boys' football team was in action competing in the ESFA Cup competition against neighbouring schools, Deepcar, Grenoside and Oughtibridge. Sportsmanship was our key focus, playing within the rules with respect to opponents and officials and being gracious in both victory and defeat. Our team played tough but applied all of these qualities in their game play which was pleasing to see.

Fundamental Movement Skills Week at SJS
Published 09/10/23Fundamental Movement skills (FMS) are the basic movements associated with human physical activity. These include skills such as running, jumping, throwing, skipping and hopping amongst others. Over time, as children develop, they start to sequence skills into more sophisticated movement patterns including sports specific skills.
